Infrastructure Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Support Engineer has become available with a well-established technology company based in Lymington, Dorset.

The role will be reporting into the Head of IT and will be supporting the users in their day--to-day activities by managing IT requests and monitoring systems - this will cover both on-site, off-site and on the shop floor. 

Key responsibilities of the Infrastructure Support Engineer job:

• Assist with the installation, management and monitoring of VMWare, servers, Active Directory domains and network infrastructure
• Carry out hardware upgrades and software applications installations
• Monitor the infrastructure health and performance
• Ensure compliance with Cyber Essential as certified

Key skills / experience required for the Infrastructure Support Engineer job:

• Experience of server hardware build and testing
• Building and administering VMWare ESXi and visa environments
• Administering Microsoft domain environments - 365/Entra, GPO's Active Directory
• TCP/IP networking knowledge in subnet routing switches, VPN, Wi-Fi etc
• The ability to manage and prioritise own workload whilst working both alone and part of a team
