Injection Moulding Machine Setter

Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be recruiting an injection moulding machine operator on behalf of a plastics manufacturer in Sheffield. 
The Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day productions activities and first-line preventive maintenance within the manufacturing department.
Salary & Shift:
Monday - Friday weekly rotating shift pattern 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
Salary £33500 - £36500  DOE 
Responsibilities:

• Oversee running of injection moulding machines 
• Troubleshoot injection moulding machines, moulds and peripherals to enhance performance, utilising Pareto data capture to identify issues 
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Organize quality packaging operatives to meet production requirements 
• Prepare daily production plans and performance reports, providing timely updates to the production manager.
• Uphold quality standards and implement corrective actions for non-conformance
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize scrap rates and waste
• Train and develop staff in operative procedures and instructions 
• Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment 
• Maintain records of production and maintenance for moulds in and out of use.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Logistics, Production and Quality teams daily 
• Identify and implement improvements to process, quality and cost-effectiveness of moulding operations 
• Perform colour changes, colour sampling and material trials

Experience:

• Experience in operating Injection Moulding Machine 
• ITM1 Qualification 
• Experience in Plastics industry
