Installation and Service Engineer | Chepstow | Monday -Thursday 8:am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 1pm | £35,000 basic with regular overtime opportunitiesOur client is seeking a skilled and experienced Service and Installation Engineer to join their team!Established in 2006 by Father and Son duo, the company are suppliers of commercial and industrial laundry equipment.As a Service and Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer locations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient operation of laundry equipment, minimising downtime, and providing exceptional customer service.Please note there is the requirement for regular overnight stays including around the United Kingdom and Europe (you will need a valid passport).Are you the right person for the job?Proven experience as a Service and Installation Engineer, preferably in the commercial or industrial laundry industryFamiliarity with a wide range of laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machinesStrong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniquesProficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagramsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve equipment issues efficientlyExceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectivelyDetail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as requiredPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasksRelevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering are preferredWhat will your role look like?Install, commission, and test commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer sitesConduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and prevent equipment breakdownsDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, both mechanical and electrical, and perform necessary repairsReplace faulty components, such as motors, pumps, valves, and control panels, as neededCalibrate and adjust equipment settings to ensure accurate operation and efficient performanceKeep accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including completed work orders, parts used, and hours workedProvide technical support and assistance to customers, answering their questions and guiding them on equipment operation and maintenanceCollaborate with other team members, including sales and customer service, to provide a seamless customer experienceStay updated on industry trends, new equipment models, and technological advancements to enhance your expertiseWhat can you expect in return?22 days paid leave + Bank HolidaysCompany PensionCompany VehicleLaptop & Mobile PhoneWhat’s next?
