OLG Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Instrument Engineer to work for a major client based in Hull. This �a long term position and we will consider candidates on both a permanent and contract basis.



In this role you have an amazing opportunity to work with the SCP Maintenance team and be responsible for the delivery of asset management compliance, improvements and projects. The Instrument Engineer will be accountable for all assets under the specific discipline in the CMMS, and be responsible for maintaining accuracy, creation, amending and deletion of entries to maintain and update the CMMS.�



Jo Responsibilities:




  • The Instrument Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of assigned asset management compliance, improvements and projects meeting the SCP maintenance operating plan.






  • The Instrument Engineer will be accountable for all assets under the specific discipline in the CMMS, and be responsible for maintaining accuracy, creation, amending and deletion of entries to maintain and update the CMMS.






  • Ensure all technical documentation is accurately and consistently sourced, stored, updated, and communicated.






  • Set, implement, and maintain effective maintenance systems, strategies, projects and processes for all assigned CMMS assets ensuring required performance and compliance are delivered and maintained.






  • Provide appropriate guidance using instrumentation engineering knowledge and experience and hands on support to SCP personnel to ensure timely rectification of engineering and maintenance issues affecting safety, availability, reliability, and production.






  • Support the Maintenance / Operations /Projects teams and customers on instrument engineering matters including shutdowns, unplanned/planned events, incidents, projects, mods, and improvement activities. Seek technical/SHE guidance when necessary and stop jobs if unsafe or unsure.






  • Assist in the management hazardous area inspection systems including timely inspection organisation and action close out.






  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards. Complete & encourage others to complete observation conversations, audits and reporting.






  • Support technical safety reviews e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, RBI, and the sites functional Safety compliance.






  • Be the discipline responsible engineer for internal/external bodies and regulators.





Education/Experience:



The job holder will:




  • Hold a HNC in an Electrical or Instrument discipline (or equivalent)






  • Previous experience working in and contributing to a 24/7 High Hazard COMAH industrial environment.






  • Have a strong knowledge and understanding of Instrument systems including:



��������������������������� Level, temp, pressure, flow, pressure measurement & control.



Analogue/ smart technologies.



Control valve & actuator types.



Functional Safety and Safety Instrumented Systems






  • Have experience making positive SHEQ contributions.






  • Have Engineering & Operational interface experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.






  • Have experience developing, implementing, and evaluating improvements and mods.






  • Be able to understand and contribute to Management of Change processes.






  • Be able to build and maintain customer contractor relationships, including Contract management.






  • Be able to work cross functionally delivering initiatives and compliance.






  • Have previous experience managing maintenance budgets and minor projects.






  • Have knowledge of CMMS updating and maintenance.






  • Have an understanding of SHE systems (e.g PTW, RAMs, CI). �
