The opportunity

Due to projects continuing to ramp up, our client who is one of the leading contractors working on the brand new Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station. As a result, they are currently seeking to employ an experienced Instrumentation Project Engineer to join their ambitious team on a permanent basis.
The role

As an Instrumentation Project Engineer, you will be Based in the suburbs of Bristol, this role will require you to be on site 3 days per week, with the rest being from home. You will be assisting the project manager by taking management of the Instrumentation side of various projects. This will include client management, contractor management and coordination of the supply chain.
For this role, you will require BPSS Security Clearance, therefore, we are unable to consider candidates from outside of the UK.
Your duties and responsibilities will be




  • As an Instrumentation Project Engineer, you will act as the main point of contact for the client on all topics linked to Instrument Engineering.

  • Technical management of suppliers, ensuring their work meets the contractual requirements (costs, schedule and scope).

  • Carry out reviews of supplier documentation, to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Manage modifications to contracts as appropriate.

  • Act as the main point of contract for site staff if any modifications, issues or non-conformities arise.

  • Ensure instrumentation components are delivered on time and to budget.

  • Assist the Project manager with their workload as required, including client management.



You will have the following qualifications & experience




  • Knowledge of RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909)



It’s great if you also have the following




  • Knowledge of Nuclear system, either by Education or professional experience.

  • Knowledge of Quality Process
