The Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrations between the HR system and various cloud applications, ERP systems, and external services. You will collaborate with the HRIS team and manage support tickets through ServiceNow.

Description

The role involves developing Workday integrations with other systems like Payroll, Workforce Management, HR, and internal tools. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, testing, and deploying Workday Integration solutions using tools like Custom Reports, EIB, Core Connectors, XSLT, and Workday Studio.
  • Participating in proof-of-concept development, demos, and post-deployment support for integration efforts.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ensuring alignment of development activities with business goals, scope, schedule, and priorities.
  • Collaborating with the team to establish best practices for integration services.
  • Working with internal and external technical experts to implement solutions.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation for integration processes, including design documents, test plans, and user guides.

Profile

This role is looking for a skilled professional who combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal abilities, particularly with the Workday HR Platform. Key qualifications and responsibilities include:
  • Workday Integration Expertise: Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Document Transformation, Core Connector, Cloud Connect, APIs, Web Services, and other integration tools.
  • Enterprise Architecture & Integration: Solid understanding of architecture concepts and integration design patterns.
  • Business Requirement Translation: Ability to translate business needs into efficient integration solutions.
  • Software Development & Monitoring: Involvement in all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
  • System Maintenance: Experience in maintaining enterprise systems such as Workday, troubleshooting, and overseeing production environments.
  • Development Methodologies: Familiarity with best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/alerting systems.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Groovy/JavaScript, Linux/Windows, SQL/NoSQL, Networking, and AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SQS is advantageous.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Capable of working independently and as part of a team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required for this role, along with the ability to tackle complex integration challenges while working closely with business teams and adhering to company standards. Experience with Workday Payroll and traditional programming languages such as Java is a plus.
