We are currently recruiting an Interim Assistant HR Business Partner for a growing Care organisation based in Berkshire to support on a TUPE transfer for 2 to 3 months, starting at the beginning of August. The role will pay circa �280 per day through an umbrella company and can be either full or part time on a hybrid working arrangement but will require attendance in the office in Wokingham on a regular basis.

Working to the Employee Relations Business Partner, the purpose of this role is to support change processes and provide HR advice and support to managers about a range of topics such as absence management, disciplinary, performance capability, grievance and redeployment, in varying forms of complexity. The role may also involve some training activities and HR projects. The HR team strives to deliver a high quality customer focused service and this role is key to that successful delivery.

Your role will: -

  • Lead TUPE processes with advice, planning the consultation and process, ensuring effective consultation and communication with trade unions, employees and the other company involved. Interrogate employee liability information. Seek legal advice where needed. Ensure payroll changes are made on transfer.
  • Lead change process and consultations with advice, e.g. on restructures or contract changes. Liaise with trade union representatives, provide advice on consultation and communications, seek legal advice where needed.
  • Support managers with a range of informal and formal employment processes, including complex disciplinary, performance and absence management cases.
  • Provide advice and support to investigating managers during formal investigations and in preparation for hearings.
  • Liaise with trade union representatives who are supporting employees with casework.
  • Oversee the referral of employees to our Occupational Health provider and provide advice to managers on interpreting and implementing advice as appropriate. Provide advice about reasonable adjustments and redeployment for employees with disabilities.
  • Cover any other generalist HR duties as required.

For this role, there is a preference for candidates with experience of working in Local Government or the wider public sector in a similar role, with demonstrable experience of leading on a TUPE process with guidance. You will lead on consultations which will be held in person on-site in Wokingham and therefore it is essential that you are able to get to Wokingham regularly.
