We are working with an international Financial Services firm who are looking for an interim Company Secretary to join their Governance function on a six-month fixed-term contract. In which, there is a strong possibility for this position to become permanent.
You'll report to the Chief Risk Officer, providing comprehensive secretarial support to the Board and Executive Committee, and acting as the lead regulatory and governance expert for the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR.)
This is a critical role that will significantly contribute to the firm's long-term strategic goals. The Chief Risk Officer has ambitious plans to expand the team and enhance the function following this appointment, including implementing AI systems for board & committee meetings so any experience in this area (or interest in gaining experience here) would be hugely beneficial
They are looking for someone happy to wear multiple hats given the niche SMCR requirement and would happily consider individuals with more compliance experience looking to move into a CoSec role
Applicant Expectations:
Financial Services experience and exposure to the FCA
Immediately Available/Short Notice period
Managerial/Supervisory Experience
Understanding and knowledge of SMCR
They are currently operating on a hybrid working policy of 3 days a week in office (with Wednesday as an obligatory team day.)
