Interim Financial Accountant

SF is currently working with an organisation based in Doncaster who are looking to add an Interim Financial Accountant to the team for a period of 12 months. This is a challenging opportunity for a self-starting, experienced and accountant who can hit the ground running.

Some of the key day to day responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for maintenance of the general ledger accounts for the UK Group's legal entities in line with UKGAAP and IFRS.
- Preparation of annual audited UKGAAP accounts for the UK Group.
- Management of the process to produce monthly reporting accurately, to the highest quality and within strict deadlines.
- Engage with both internal and external auditors
- Manage the Group Finance team in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the UK Group.
- Managing continuous improvement and change projects within the Group Finance function.
- Provide a high level of service to the stakeholders of Group Finance through report monitoring, query resolution, etc.
- Review, monitoring and calculation of accounting measurements in line with local and company accounting policies.
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts, liaising with international trading partners.
- Managing controls over inventory. Liaising with depot employees to drive continuous improvement in this area.
- Managing, review, continuous development and appraisal responsibilities for 3-4 accountants in the Group Finance team
- Management and review of direct reports workload, including provisions, banking and investment transactions.
- Working closely with the Head of Group Finance, Controlling Teams and the CFO on current technical and operational financial issues.

My client is looking for a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or someone that is qualified by experience.

Some of the other requirements include:

- Practice background
- Experience of managing teams
- Experience of SAP and HFM reporting processes an advantage
- Excellent technical skills, deep knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Highly analytical, proven problem-solving abilities and focussed on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and delivery quality output to tight deadlines.
- Good communications skills across all levels
- Experience of SAP system migrations desirable
