Job DescriptionRobert Half is recruiting for an Interim Head of Risk & Operational Compliance candidate to join a music membership organisation.ROLE: Interim Head of Risk & Operational Compliance CandidateLENGTH: 3-6 Months ContractLOCATION: 2 days in office - London BasedPAY: Day Rate depending on experienceOverview:The Interim Head of Risk & Operational Compliance Candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing operational risk and compliance across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Cyber Security, the role involves working closely with the Audit Committee, Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and outsourced internal audit function. This position ensures that operational risk requirements are met, governance frameworks are effectively embedded, and all policies align with the company’s overall strategy.Responsibilities:Operational Risk Management:Identify and evaluate operational risks faced by the organisation.Develop and implement suitable policy governance, learning, behavioral change, monitoring, assurance, and reporting tools.Governance & Compliance:Implement and maintain a Three Lines of Defence assurance model across the organisation.Develop and enforce a comprehensive policy governance framework.Oversee the procurement and management of the commercial insurance program in collaboration with the CFO.Risk & Compliance Reviews:Lead health checks and deep-dive reviews of risk and compliance aspects.Coordinate internal audits with the audit partner, ensuring timely execution, reporting, and proactive management of findings.Controls & Effectiveness:Ensure that controls are fit for purpose, appropriately embedded, and effective.Conduct operational effectiveness testing in high-risk areas and processes.Support process and control streamlining and simplification in collaboration with Transformation teams.Enterprise-Wide Risk Management:Collaborate across the enterprise to ensure robust risk identification and mitigation.Clarify accountability and ownership of risks.Enhance the understanding of key controls and foster a proactive, risk-aware culture.Provide assurance to the Board, Audit Committee, and Executive Leadership Team.Qualifications:Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of UK and EU risk regulatory requirements.Experience: Previous compliance advisory experience, preferably within an assurance and regulatory framework including a Three Lines of Defence model.Track Record: Proven experience in developing and maintaining risk and assurance frameworks in non-regulated industries.Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make informed and accurate business decisions.Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong influencing abilities.Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Certifications:Member of the Institute of Risk Management.International Diploma in Enterprise Risk Management.If this is of interest please reply.Thanks,
