Interim Management Accountant
3 months fixed term contract
Salary up to £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Elevation's interim division are excited to be working with a growing organisation based in Knaresborough in the search for an experienced Management Accountant who can support them during a busy period, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. 
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Management Accounts Preparation: Process intercompany transactions, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and other required journals.
• Variance Analysis and Commentary: Prepare variance analysis and performance commentary, collaborating with other departments to resolve issues efficiently and logically within agreed timescales.
• Year-End Reporting: Prepare year-end reporting packages for multiple entities. 
• Forecasting: Assist with forecasting P&Ls and cashflows.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile balance sheet reconciliations post-month end.
• Budgeting: Assist in the budgeting process.
• Transactional Processing Support: Support Accounts Assistants with their transactional processing and provide coverage during busy periods, absences, or holidays.
• System Development: Develop and enhance systems to keep pace with changing business requirements.
• Year-End Audits: Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• VAT Returns: Process quarterly VAT returns.
• Process Improvement: Review and implement new processes to improve reporting and administrative efficiencies.
• Ad-hoc Project Assistance: Assist the Financial Controller with various projects

Key Requirements: 

• The successful candidate must have minimum 2 years experience in a varied Management Accountant position
• Ideally Qualified or Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) 
• Can-do attitude - ready to provide support in all areas required which may not be listed as part of the job spec
• Must be available for immediate start
