Interim Senior Finance Business Partner (Education Sector)
Location: South West England
Contract: November 2024 - August 2025
Hours: 37 hours per week

Panoramic Associates is delighted to be partnering with a leading group of schools in the South West of England to recruit an Interim Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP). This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a significant impact in an education setting, supporting both Primary and Secondary schools.

As the SFBP, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial performance of multiple schools within the group. You'll ensure effective financial planning, robust budget management, and strong governance and compliance. Working closely with senior leadership, your insights will directly shape the schools' strategic financial direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Forecasting & Management: Oversee and manage budgets across a group of schools, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Management Accounts: Lead on the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting to ensure the schools' financial health is monitored effectively.
  • Financial Performance Review: Conduct detailed financial reviews and analysis to assess performance and support decision-making.
  • Payroll Management: Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, working closely with HR teams.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide key financial insights to support strategic decision-making and compliance.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure financial processes align with statutory requirements and the schools' internal policies.
Experience Required:
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in education finance or working with public sector organisations (preferred)
  • Strong track record of working with multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership teams
  • Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, with the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance colleagues

This is a great opportunity to take on a long-term interim contract within a dynamic and supportive team, where you can leverage your expertise to make a real difference in the lives of students and staff. The role provides both autonomy and collaboration, allowing you to shape financial strategies and processes for lasting impact.
