Interim Senior Management Accountant London Hybrid (6 months) £500 - £550 p/day umbrella We have exclusively partnered with a leading industrial Plc based in London who are looking for the support of an Interim Senior management Accountant during a period of change and transformation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the month-end close process, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team. Responsibilities: Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted on time. Review and reconcile key accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance to assist senior management in decision-making. Assist the finance team with transactional tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and internal financial policies. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement. Provide support to the finance team with ad hoc projects and routine requests as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems. Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with several years of experience as a Management Accountant. Proficiency in SAP ERP. Experience with Oracle Planning and Consolidation systems is an advantage. Advanced Excel skills. Experience in a large, international multi-business organisation. Strong financial planning and analysis skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines. Self-starter with the flexibility to manage multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines Our client is based in the heart of London and their location is an easy commute for anyone in the city. The client operates a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 from home
