Orkney Islands Council Area - Fostering, Adoption and Kinship Interim Manager- Full time opportunity available on a temporary contract basis.

The Social Care Community Partnership are currently recruiting for a Social Worker for Adult Services in Orkney

Salary: £30- £50ph PAYE and accrued Holidays and Pension

Duration - from asap for 3 months then it will be reviewed

Accommodation costs will be provided for by the council and council tax will also be paid by the council if you have a permanent residence elsewhere

Travel costs for the Ferry to and from Orkney will also be paid by the council.

The Council can also fund a monthly trip home if required.

The working week is generally 9am -5pm.

Qualifications and experience:

  • You must have significant and relevant experience as a social workeer and manager with children and young people
  • Being a driver is essential as you willl need to travel on the Island as well
  • You must have a social work degree and postqualifying qualifications are beneficial.
