We’re looking for an Internal Controls Analyst , FTC Based at our Paddington location you will support in the maintenance and testing of the Group’s internal financial controls environment and framework. You will ensure that the controls documentation is robust and up to date, undertake controls testing as well as play an active role in the Group’s compliance with relevant external Governance reporting obligations.

What you’ll do:
• Update and maintain SOX documentation including risk and control matrices and evaluate new controls as business and processes change.
• Periodically update the SOX scoping document and supporting risk assessment including developing suitable new controls if required.
• Perform design and operating effectiveness testing for each in scope process and site. Including following up and tracking internal control gaps and deficiencies to ensure they are remediated and re-testing completed as necessary.
• Provide guidance and advice to control owners to address identified control gaps and deficiencies. Work with Global Finance teams to provide ongoing support and input to maintain and enhance the controls environment.
• Oversee the follow up process to track progress on completion of open improvement actions, and ensure appropriate remediation is in place.
What do you need to thrive in this role?
• Strong academic background
• Chartered accountant qualification desirable
• Experience of working in either a risk based / Sarbanes-Oxley / internal controls / internal audit discipline.
• Solid understanding of risk, audit and control principles.
• Strong documentation skills
• Willing to travel as the job demands to URENCO offices in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the US (Circa. 25% travel)
• Proven knowledge of internal control frameworks (COSO, SOX & COBIT)
