Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 185 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular for weddings.
Over the last few years, the Hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar and all public areas with further plans to redevelop and expand throughout2024 and 2025 increasing the number of Bedrooms, an additional fine dining restaurant as well an opulent new Spa with state-of-the-art facilities.

Main duties and purpose of the role:
This is a new role for our Hotel and a supporting one for our chef team. Although there maybe some requirements to support the kitchen in a cooking capacity please note this is primarily an admin role.
key responsibilities
Assisting with food ordering and stock rotation
Organisation of event and function sheets ensuring that each kitchen Senior Chef is aware of requirements
Building rotas no less than 4 weeks ahead forward planning for pressure points in year in line with budgets
Ordering of chemicals and maintaining correct stock levels
Supporting the kitchen Senior Chefs with building the allergen matrix for the business and ensuring that any supplier changes are noted and allergens are up to date
Supporting the Executive Chef in ensuring that the kitchen team training plan is up to date
Producing and delivering a kitchen induction program for new starters
Monthly kitchen audit checks
Planning for kitchen equipment service plans and maintenance
Supporting the Executive Head Chef in ensuring that the food safety policy is up to date
Produce risk assessments for all kitchen areas and equipment
Support and Assist with recruitment process
Supporting the kitchen Senior Chefs in standardising recipes and dish specs for approval of the Executive Chef
Exceptional organisation and planning skills through Standard operating procedures. High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one’s own time and the time of the team
Drive & self-motivated. Excellent knowledge of kitchen related legislative requirements/audits
Assist with Stock taking of food and crockery for all Kitchens
To be responsible for HACCP and Health and Safety for the department under the Head Chef’s guidance and company procedures.
