Heritage PS Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our well established manufacturing and engineering client to recruit for an experienced Internal Sales Engineer tin West Yorkshire on a full time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have recently worked within a Sales Engineer role within the valve industry for a minimum of 2 years.
Main duties of the Internal Sales Engineer:

  • Build relationships with customers, external/internal sales teams, and agents to work effectively and secure profitable orders.
  • Correctly interpret customer requirements and offer appropriate solutions from our product range.
  • Ensure orders are accurately entered into the SAP system upon receipt, and arrange handover and/or kick-off meetings within the contract delivery schedule.
  • Develop Key Customer Accounts in collaboration with the Internal Sales Manager and Product Manager.
  • Visit customers as needed.
  • Work effectively as a team member by providing expertise in control and choke valves, offering flexibility, and assisting others when required.
  • Follow processes and procedures in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Perform any additional duties required to meet the company's needs.
  • Participate in training sessions, and continuous development to stay updated on new technical advancements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of annual Input, Sales & Profit budgets in line with product range strategy expectations.
  • Ensure all work complies with current H&S rules and safety systems, aligning with the duty of care document.
  • Achieve year-on-year growth targets through the budget and forecasting process.
  • Execute specific sales plans and strategies to optimise existing and potential business.
  • Recommend sales, product, and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain customer relationships to increase sales to existing accounts and attract new ones.


Requirements of the Internal Sales Engineer:

  • HNC-level knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing, or experience in valve sales with a proven record of increasing responsibility and achievement.
  • Understanding of the Oil & Gas and Power & Industrial market sectors.
  • Internal sales experience required, including in-depth knowledge of valves, with a preference for Control and Choke Valves & Isolation Valves.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good knowledge of MRP Systems and SAP is desirable.
