Our client is a leading and compassionate funeral director company based in Croydon, committed to providing exceptional services to families during difficult times. They are seeking an experienced International Coordinator to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the repatriation of deceased individuals internationally, ensuring that all services are carried out with the utmost professionalism and care.



Role Overview:



The International Coordinator will play a crucial role in the organisation, facilitating international repatriation services by coordinating with various stakeholders, such as consulates, embassies, airlines, and grieving families. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of administrative excellence, sensitivity in communication, and strong organisational skills to manage complex logistics.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage and oversee the international repatriation process, including liaising with consulates, airlines, and transportation companies.

  • Obtain all necessary documentation and permits, ensuring compliance with international customs and airline regulations.

  • Act as a main point of contact for families, providing updates and clear guidance with empathy and professionalism.

  • Liaise with embassies, consulates, and international agents to ensure a smooth repatriation process.

  • Coordinate with internal funeral directors and administrative teams for timely and efficient delivery of services.

  • Prepare and provide quotes for repatriation costs, maintaining transparency at all times.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all transactions and communications.



Key Skills and Experience Required:




  • Previous experience in funeral services, logistics, or international coordination is highly advantageous.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to handle sensitive situations delicately.

  • Familiarity with international customs requirements and regulations related to repatriation is desirable.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese�essential.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide support during emotionally challenging situations.
