Job Description Direct Lending Associate (UK & Ireland) - Private Credit Fund A pan-European credit investment specialist are hiring an Investment Associate to join their Direct Lending team, with a regional focus on the UK & Ireland. This excellent opportunity presents candidates with a unique chance to join a successful, growth orientated team with a broad investment mandate, providing debt financing to mid-market firms across the UK and Ireland. The Direct Lending team provides tailored credit and flexible capital solutions including senior, subordinated, and unitranche debt for refinancings, growth capital, acquisitions, buyouts, and balance sheet recapitalizations. With an impressive track record, wealth of experienced professionals and an extensive portfolio of existing investments, the team provides expertise across a broad range of industries, investing across the capital structure. As an Investment Associate you will provide support for the sourcing, underwriting and analysis of potential new investments, develop complex models, provide detailed credit analysis and due diligence requirements, be involved in the full deal-life-cycle, portfolio management and investment monitoring. Candidates are required to be legally eligible to work in the UK. Key Responsibilities Include Performing detailed financial and market research and analysis that forms the basis for decisions on new debt and/or equity investments of the firm Screening and evaluation of new and potential investment opportunities Preparing and developing various complex, dynamic Excel financial models including cash flow analysis, debt sizing and structuring Preparing investment committee memos Preparing presentations and pitches for internal and external use Analysing investment performance including maintaining and updating investment valuations and financial models as well as keeping track of relevant current market activities Assisting in negotiating and preparing the legal documentation Assisting in investment closings Meeting with management teams and sponsors when assessing new investment opportunities and monitoring the existing portfolio Additional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior management Qualifications Relevant Bachelor s degree required from a top tier institution Strong intellect with excellent quantitative, communication and analytical skills 3-5 years experience from a background in either a leveraged finance/investment banking, private credit & lending, restructuring or corporate finance Proven hands on experience of structuring & executing debt transactions Good understanding of capital structure and credit concepts, including debt covenants, security and ranking Advanced MS Excel modelling and MS PowerPoint skills including presentation and assessment skills (tested during application process) Excellent team player keen to move to a growing team #J-18808-Ljbffr
