Investment Associate

Our client is a global private real estate investment firm who invest opportunistically in the Europe and the US are seeking to hire an Investment Associate in London to support deal execution in the UK and across Europe. The firm are sector agnostic with a bias towards residential, logistics and light industrial sectors. There is significant scope for growth within a very well capitalised yet entrepreneurial business.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalysing, evaluating, and recommending new real estate deals.Financial modelling of potential deals, designing and maintaining underwriting modelsContribute to the development of investment strategies for European and US Real Estate markets.Conduct detailed industry, market, and counterparty research to support investment theses and produce investment memorandaManage comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment.Coordinate with external advisors, operating partners, and internal teams to ensure thorough evaluation of investment opportunities.Develop and present investment proposals and recommendations to the ICWork closely with legal, financial, and operational advisors.Manage transaction processes, including documentation, regulatory approvals, and closing procedures.Oversee and support the management of portfolio investments, driving strategic initiatives and value creation.Monitor financial and operational performance of investmentsAssist in the development and execution of exit strategies.Work closely with senior team members of the firmCcontribute to the overall strategy and success of the business.Background and experienceStrong academic background with a University degree in a relevant subject (preferably finance, accounting or banking)4-6 years' relevant Real Estate transactional experience in the UK and across EuropeExperience across a wide range of real estate sectors and geographies, ideally residential, logistics, land promotion, light industrial and self-storageExperience ideally from within from the buy-side including real estate private equity or real estate advisory/investment bankingGood understanding of financial structures (including equity, debt, and JVs)Ability to communicate complex, abstract messages in a simple, clear manner.Strong financial modelling skills with meticulous attention to detail/accuracy with numbersExcellent communication abilities - verbal and written.Able to collaborate at all levels of seniorityAnalytical and intellectually curious mindCommitted, results-oriented team player, keen to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy
