IRO -

We are seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) for a 3-month contract in South Wales. Reporting to the Principal Officer for Safeguarding, Performance, and Quality, you will ensure the quality of care planning for looked after children, challenge social work practices, and promote safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assure care planning for looked after children.
• Scrutinize social worker performance and offer guidance.
• Ensure statutory requirements are met and children's voices are heard.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams to improve service quality.

Qualifications:

• Qualified social worker with current registration.
• Strong background in child protection and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Contract Details:

• 3-month contract, 37 hours per week.
• Hybrid working: split between home and office.
• Manageable workload in a supportive team.

Start Date: Immediate

Requirements:

• Degree in social care
• Social Work Wales Registration
• IRO Experience
