We are working closely with an 'Outstanding' rated school in the heart of Richmond, and are searching for an experience Teaching Assistant. This role will include providing structured supervision for students in the internal isolation room and ensuring there is a constant controlled and secure environment. You will also be offering guidance and support to pupils to ensure they understand why have been placed in the room as well as promoting positive behaviour.
This school have strong goals and they strive for Respect and Kindness so you will be the key to ensuring pupils, who are struggling to manage their behaviour, can still excel in their studies.
This role is perfect for Psychology, Criminology and Sociology graduates as you will be working closely with the Pastoral team as well as Psychology professionals.
Job Description - Isolation Room Supervisor
Isolation Room Supervisor
Supervising KS3, KS4 and KS5 students in the internal isolation room
Ensuring the students are safe at all times
Providing support for those who struggle to maintain positive behaviour
Assisting those who struggle with mental health and providing support where needed
Having 1:1 conversations with the students to build rapports and understand why they behave the way they do
Report back to the SLT and Pastoral team
Monday to Friday 8:00 -4pm
£23000 - £26000 per annum
September 2024 start (for full academic year)
Located in Ealing
Full - Time, Long Term
Candidate Specification - Isolation Room Supervisor
Experience as a Teaching Assistant
Strong passion for working with students on their academia and mental health
Enthusiasm and creative to be able to inspire children with learning
The ability to write cogently and fluently with correct spelling and punctuation
Patience, kindness, flexibility, good humour and the ability to work as part of a team
Professional attitude and approach to work
