ISS Project Manager

CSM2, a specialist equipment manufacturer supplying maritime atmosphere control systems and support services has an exciting opportunity to join the ISS team. The Project Manager role manages projects of various size and scales of activity, teams, and functions within CMS2 to deliver exceptional support services. They also serve as the customer's primary contact, ensuring they're aware of all available solutions for equipment availability, configuration, upgrades, issue resolution, and obsolescence management. Delivering a support solution in a controlled manner Key responsibilities and tasks
Accountable for a portfolio of In-Service tasks & projects and related customer support, reporting status and customer satisfaction as required.
Lead a small team of Project Co-Ordinator's and Engineers for various projects and life support contracts. Take the lead on compiling proposals, with support from the Technical and Commercial teams if needed, to customer issues and solutions including cost estimation and CMS2 management approval process. Responsible for financial planning, tracking, and forecasting multiple parallel assigned projects. Lead effective customer weekly / monthly In Service Support meetings identifying issue resolutions and improvements. Maintain close ties to both CMS2 Engineering and the customer base to ensure the role is a conduit to help ensure they have equal access and knowledge of emerging issues and developments to increase equipment availability and performance. Work closely with production operations to ensure planning and delivery to customer requirements. Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and presentation of project information to various stakeholders, including customers, Senior management team, project teams. In conjunction with the ISS Delivery Manager and Technical Manager develop and implement effective in-service support strategies and plans in-line with the ISS Directors and overall business strategies and contracts. Support the business via the management of KPI's Maintain continuous professional development to ensure knowledge is up to date.
Qualifications, experience, and skills Essential
Demonstrable professional knowledge of working in Project / Programme & customer centric support environment. Management, ideally in a complex highly regulated engineering environment. Proven track record of managing projects to Time, Cost and Quality. Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence others, including building and maintaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders both internal and external. Strong presentation skills, confident speaker and professionally presented. Attention to detail, forward planning and budgeting / financial knowledge. Knowledge of the full project life cycle stage-gate principles of project delivery. Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders. Working knowledge of risk and opportunity management and lessons learned processes.
Desirable
Qualified in industry standard Project management methodologies (APM or similar) Degree qualified or demonstrable relevant experience. Strong understanding in planning and strategy, organisation, and governance. Experience within an Engineering role. Experience of Defence. Understanding of Matrix Management. Previous experience of an ERP/MRP system. Experience within a lean manufacturing environment. Business transformation Working knowledge of CMS2's products
Role travel requirements
The duties of this appointment relate to the UK, but you may be required to travel when required by the Company. It is not envisaged that you shall be required to work outside the UK for more than one month. Some customer visits may be required outside of the UK.
Other requirements
Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK. Candidates must have passed UK security clearance to Security Check level or be able to obtain this level. This normally requires 5 years residence in the UK.
