IT Business Analyst

Duration: 12 months contract

\n

Base rate: £620 - £720 per day (Inside IR35)

\n

London-based role: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

\n

\n

Cititec Talent is working with a leading Investment Bank to recruit an IT Business Analyst. In this role, the Analyst will work closely with IT and business teams to assess, analyse, and document both business and system requirements.

\n

\n

The successful candidate will identify solutions for system challenges, manage project lifecycles, and propose strategies aligned with stakeholder needs.

\n

\n

You will also support project delivery by managing risks, developing detailed plans, ensuring thorough documentation, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

\n

\n

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT and business lines to assess, analyse, and resolve system issues.
  • \n
  • Lead requirement phases, track, and resolve issues while recommending business solutions.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to determine optimal development and vendor solutions.
  • \n
  • Ensure documentation, training, and risk mitigation for successful project delivery.
  • \n

Experience and Expertise:

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the capital markets or similar industry.
  • \n
  • Strong background in Reference Data implementations, with expertise in Bonds, Equities, and Exchange-Traded Futures & Options.
  • \n
  • Skilled in data analysis, process flows, and designing interfaces for financial systems.
  • \n
  • Experience designing Client and Instrument data interfaces to Financial Reporting systems.
  • \n
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, database design, and financial ledger solutions.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and key business strategy drivers.
  • \n
  • Expertise in requirements gathering, business process modelling, user interface design, and methodologies such as Object Orientation, Use Cases, UML, RUP, and Waterfall.
