We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team based in Birmingham, working on-site full time. If you're seeking a role with autonomy, collaboration, and the chance to make an impact, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise your strong understanding of network fundamentals to design and maintain secure, robust networks.
  • Manage and optimise Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, PKI, certificate management, and licencing.

  • Specify equipment/software requirements and liaise with 3rd parties for procurement and implementation.
  • Deliver HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) documentation for WAN/LAN/Firewall solutions.
  • Manage and maintain virtualised environments (VM), WSUS updates, antivirus solutions, and backup/storage infrastructure.
  • Oversee secure deployment of software in line with industry best practices.
  • Support delivery and migration projects, working within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Implement and manage secure VPN/remote access solutions (e.g. IKEv2 site-to-site VPNs, Cisco Secure Client Remote Access VPN).
What We're Looking For:
  • British National with SC clearance or willingness to undergo security clearance.
  • Strong background in customer-facing roles, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Experience with project-based work and collaborating with multi-discipline teams.
  • Proven knowledge of IT infrastructure best practices, focusing on on-premise environments (no cloud experience required).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
What We're Not Looking For:
  • Experience in NOC operations, WiFi technologies, or cloud solutions - this role focuses on on-prem infrastructure.
Why Apply?

  • Gain exposure to secure IT environments, working on critical infrastructure projects.
  • Enjoy the autonomy of managing your workload while contributing to the success of a close-knit team.
