Location: Oxford
Position: IT manager
Salary: £48,235 - £57,255 per annum dependent on experience
Duration: Permanent (possibility for a temp to perm)
About Us:
Our Client is a prestigious Education site, dedicated to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment for our students and staff. We are currently looking for a skilled IT manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing IT infrastructure across the site
  • Implementing and upgrading systems as and when needed to keep thing updated and efficient
  • Ensuing the cybersecurity of the site and ensuring all polices are up to date, compliant and followed
  • Managing the IT staff and supporting their development, performance and training.
  • Supporting academic and administrative functions across the site understand their IT needs and provide solutions to enhance their day to day processes
Qualifications:
  • Outstanding customer service provision and a flexible 'can do' attitude
  • Experience managing change in a complex organisation
  • Effective leadership of a small team; fostering teamwork and constructive line management
  • Ability to develop and deliver strategic plans, adapting services to stakeholder needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Degree-level equivalent experience in IT support
  • Experience maintaining and shaping physical and virtual networks
  • Hardware/software support for Macs/PCs; familiarity with MS Office, email clients, data security, firewalls, and automation (e.g., scripting)
  • Troubleshooting hardware issues, server support, and software license management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, content management systems, virtual learning environments, and website/domain hosting
  • Experience supporting research computing
