IT Project Manager

Your new companyA job opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a highly established organisation during a period of rapid technical and business transformation.Your new roleThe IT Project Manager will join an innovative and fast-paced IT team during a period of transition and transformation. You will be responsible for delivering a range of high-profile IT projects, whilst liaising with several key stakeholders. Reporting to the IT Programme Manager, you will work closely with the IT Business Analysts and key business sponsors/stakeholders to support workload management, dependencies, strategic alignment, and progress. You will take responsibility for the end-to-end project delivery of the required solution, managing the project with full control of scope, risks, and budgets.You will work closely with IT colleagues to review business requirements, match to appropriate solutions, and manage any external tender selection processes alongside the procurement team where appropriate.What you'll need to succeed A proven track record of having worked as an IT Project Manager, including experience of having delivered highly regulated projectsExperience of delivering IT projects in the Utilities sector or another highly regulated industry Knowledge of managing projects in a largely outsourced environmentConsiderable IT delivery, project & portfolio management experienceProject implementation expertiseHold a Prince2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or equivalent Project management qualification ITIL experience / qualification would be an advantage Budget management expertiseContractual/Commercial awarenessExcellent senior stakeholder management, supplier management and communication skillsProcess and Governance design and implementation expertiseVendor and customer management What you'll get in returnThis position offers excellent scope for career progression plus a benefits package that includes:25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPension scheme (5% employee contribution, 10% employer contribution)Bonus scheme (up to 15%) 14 x salary Life InsuranceFlexible benefits scheme options including corporate gym memberships, dental insurance, and health cash-plansAccess to Financial Wellbeing ProgrammeEnhanced pay for parental leaveRetail discounts and cashback schemeFlexible/hybrid working optionsThis position will be based on a hybrid working set-up from the Newport office.
