Smiths Business Supplies is based in Lichfield City Centre, dedicated to supplying schools and businesses nationwide with toner & ink cartridges, office supplies, furniture, IT/Av & Digital Signage.





We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and our commitment to going the extra mile for our clients. We are now looking to expand our team with a dynamic IT Sales Representative to drive our growth in the SME and Education sectors.





Job Description:



As an IT Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing our business by driving sales and providing exceptional service to our SME and education sector clients.



You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.





Key Responsibilities:





Cold Calling:



Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients.



Present and explain our products and services to potential customers.



Schedule meetings and follow-ups with interested prospects.





Lead Generation:



Identify and research potential leads through various channels (e.g., online research, industry events, referrals).



Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies.



Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and update CRM systems regularly.





Client Relationship Management:



Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.



Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.



Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.





Sales Growth:



Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.



Develop and execute sales plans to achieve business goals.



Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients.





Profit Generation:



Focus on high-margin sales opportunities.



Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximise profitability.



Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to improve profit margins.





Company Growth:



Contribute to the overall growth strategy of Smiths Business Supplies.



Provide feedback and insights to the management team on market trends and competitive landscape.



Participate in company events and promotional activities.





Qualifications:




  • Minimum of 2 Years Sales Experience

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the IT or Office supplies industry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.

  • Proficiency in using Excel for product list coding.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.

  • The ability to work in a customer-driven environment

  • Highly motivated by targets, with the ability to overachieve goals and targets

  • Good level of IT skills and a high level of attention to detail

  • Effective team player with a positive attitude

  • Resilience with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to overcome objections and remain calm under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • A can-do attitude and be able to work within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
