Digital Media Account Director - Full-time Job Title: Digital Media Account Director Reporting to: Digital Director (Media) Department: Digital Media Location: London Job Type: Full-time Direct reports: Digital Media Managers As the Digital Media Account Director, you will spearhead the digital strategy for key clients in the property market. Your primary responsibility will be to translate lead-generation media strategies into effective executions across various advertising platforms. With extensive hands-on experience in the entire paid media ecosystem, including search, social, and display advertising, you will focus on optimisations and insightful reporting. You will excel in creating processes and developing innovative ways to bring media executions to life, leveraging a range of bid management and reporting tools. You will achieve this through the effective management of your team, leading and inspiring both internal and external stakeholders. Your role will involve regular pitches for organic and new business opportunities, which you will approach with both strategic and commercial acumen. Your leadership will drive digital performance and growth for clients, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Job responsibilities Plan and execute paid search, social, and programmatic display campaigns across platforms such as Google and Facebook, ensuring results meet or exceed client expectations. Architect campaigns in accordance with best practices and client needs, following guidance for setup and strategy. Involved in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, demonstrating a path to increasing digital investment with effective and award-winning digital case studies. Regularly pitch for organic and new business opportunities, utilising a strategic and commercial mindset to secure new clients and projects. Develop and present compelling proposals that highlight the agency s capabilities and unique value propositions. Track campaign performance and recommend optimisations as necessary, developing a system of escalation and cascading of optimisation recommendations. Produce insightful reports for clients, providing strategic feedback and learnings from campaign activity. Work with internal and external stakeholders to adjust plans and messaging as needed. Optimise the budget plan on an ongoing basis to ensure spend and performance are meeting clients monthly schedules and objectives. Identify new media opportunities to test, learn, and maximise digital performance, effectively communicating these ideas to clients and internal teams. Work may involve regular unsocial hours including early starts and late finishes to meet deadlines. Long hours and time spent in meetings or entertaining is the norm along with travel as part of this role. Contribute actively to the recruitment process, including screening candidates, participating in interviews, and providing valuable input for the selection of new employees. Take charge of employee management and support in adherence to company policies and procedures. This encompasses supervision, absence management, handling disciplinary and grievance issues, conducting regular reviews, facilitating monthly 1-2-1s, conducting appraisals, delivering constructive feedback, recognising achievements, setting objectives and goals, and providing support for training and development initiatives. Foster an environment of growth and career advancement for your direct reports by providing coaching and creating opportunities for stretch assignments. Effectively communicate and disseminate key messages to your direct reports and within your team, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the company's objectives and initiatives. Ensure the team maintains and updates Synergist with accurate and current information, including client details. Follow server file management protocols in alignment with company procedures, maintaining a systematic approach to data organisation. Maintain and update administration systems as necessary, advocating for good housekeeping practices including the regular archiving of old files. Ensure that the team consistently fulfils these duties. Lead by example and ensure the team is aware and compliant with company policies, procedures, and instructions at all times, upholding the highest standards of professional conduct. Undertake any additional duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main responsibilities, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving needs. Person specification A degree in Marketing or a business-related field. Proven track record of working on and managing PPC and Paid Social accounts (Google Search Ads and Facebook Blueprint-certified are a plus). Senior-level account management experience, particularly within an agency environment. Experience in creating new business opportunities. Experience handling a variety of accounts and dealing with different stakeholders. Previous experience managing a small team. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams Exceptional interpersonal skills, coupled with outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities Strong aptitude for writing, grammar, and proofreading. Expertise in prioritising and managing your own time and team tasks across multiple clients in a fast-paced environment. Excellent planning and organisational abilities. Exceptional presentation skills. Familiarity with GDPR and relevant legislation. Thrives under pressure to meet client demands.
