Established for over 22 years, EPH Creative is one of the UK's leading event & theming suppliers. We work with an ever-growing & impressive range of clients from well-known TV Shows, to Visitor Attractions, Corporate Clients, Weddings and Private Parties. We supply props and theming to over 2,000 events & bespoke projects each year. Our headquarters near Wetherby house an Aladdin's cave of props, furniture and theming, and our State of the Art Scenic Production facility is one of the largest in the UK.

Working as part of our in-house Production Team, we are now on the lookout for a skilled Joiner to join us on a permanent basis. You will complete a wide range of prop joinery tasks, working from design brief specifications for new and bespoke builds, alongside performing maintenance and repair work on our existing products & fittings. Responsibilities:
Complete a wide range of prop joinery tasks, working from design specifications
Maintain & repair existing stock that has become worn or damaged
Assess & monitor product quality standards in department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Support the wider needs of the company with occasional travel to client event installs & derigs
Update work & task systems accordingly
Demonstrate a positive and proactive approach by supporting yourself and others to meet tight targets & deadlines.
Skills & Experience:
Advanced bench joinery skills
Ideally 3 years + experience in a bench joinery role (however this may not be necessary for candidates who can demonstrate equivalent skills)
Advanced skills in fine joinery, precision, sanding, filling & wood staining
Confident & accurate working from technical drawings
Demonstrable experience and confidence working with power tools including chop and band saws, sanders & drills
Knowledge & experience of working within COSHH guidelines
Understands importance of health and safety; contributing to a safe working environment through demonstration of safe working behaviours at all times.
Artistic/creative qualification, welding and/or CNC machining experience would be an advantage
An exceptional attitude to learning, problem-solving, and collaborating with colleagues
Experience in working within prop or set building an advantage
