Our client is a UK-leading, independent, and employee-owned multi-disciplinary practice, who integrate residential and commercial architecture, engineering, planning, and surveying to meet all their client's development needs.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen in their practice for a Junior Architectural Technician to join the residential team based in Bedford. The successful candidate will bring anything up to several years of UK-based experience, demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD and a passion for contributing to diverse architectural projects.

As part of the role, you should expect to receive a competitive salary, a cycle to work scheme, bonus birthday off, flexible working and varied healthcare and travel cover (after 3 years of service for the latter two).

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the role of Junior Architectural Technician:

  • Relevant Architectural Technology or Pat 1 degree.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed architectural drawings and plans using AutoCAD.
  • Support the project team in the development of technical solutions and construction detailing.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to deliver high-quality design outcomes.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential project information.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of planning applications and other statutory requirements.
  • Anything up to 5 years of experience working as an Architectural Technician in the UK.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and construction methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
