Junior CAD Design Draughtsperson

Our client is currently recruiting for a Junior CAD Design Draughtsperson. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent, full-time basis.

ROLE:

To provide assistance with ongoing and future projects – Including ROV Asset & Operations Support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Requirement to execute the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Verify at any time that the input information used for the work assigned are keeping up with the project development and warn the Designers, Engineers or Structural Project Specialist Lead on any detected anomaly.
• Carry our 3D modelling & 2D tasks using AutoCad & Inventor.
• Carry out design drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structures.
• Prepare bill of materials or material take off for requisitions.
• Ensure the quality of documents produced by a permanent and adequate self-check
• Sign documents produced.
• Ensure, when required, the verification of documents produced by other Draftspersons of the team.
• Update the documents produced after comments issues by other disciplines (Inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Client, Yard, Third party review, etc).
• Apply during the work assigned the relevant provisions of operations / assets or CAD Quality Procedure.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience with Autodesk-based CAD products, including AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint etc.

Desirable Experience:

• HNC/ND In Mechanical Engineering preferred but not necessary
• Previous experience as CAD Draftsperson, with relevant Offshore/Subsea Engineering background.
