Junior/Trainee Maintenance Technician

A fantasic opportunity is now available for a technicially minded person, with good practicial engineering or maintenance skills, to develop a career in Maintenance Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and emergency repairs to mechanical equipment
• Use the scheduled maintenance control system
• Routine maintenance on plant service equipment - Vessels & cooling towers etc.
• Observe the workplace and report/repair faulty equipment
• Maintain stocks of engineering consumables
• Carry out and/or assist in routine testing and inspection of engineering equipment and systems

Qualifications & Experience

• Mechanical engineering qualifications or the ability to demonstrate experience and competence in this area
• A minimum of 1 year work experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
• Some electrical engineering awareness ideal
• Any previous welding or fabricating experiance would be avantagious but full traing will be provided.
• Full UK driving licence
• Team player with good communications skills
• Physically fit due to the hands-on nature of the role

Further training will be provided in all aspects of the role, including TIG Welding etc
