Job Description

Junior/Mid Full Stack Engineer | 2 days a week in a Central Bristol office | Salary Range: £35-55k

Would you like to spend your day-job helping the UK become net-zero?
These opportunities don't come around too often - I'm working with a start-up who are supporting the UK with its goal of becoming Net Zero by 2050!
The work you'll do will genuinely help save the planet!
They’re currently a team of ten and want to add a Junior or Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to their existing team of amazing engineers in Bristol (the calibre in the team is exceptional!). After launching in early 2024, they’ve already built an impressive customer base & significant revenue generation. Their next step is to develop their suite of products further as they look to cover new areas within the renewable energy sector.
You’ll be working on a range of exciting projects across the full stack (in TypeScript) and will ideally have particular strengths in formulating well designed & clean frontend UIs, but also the ability to build complex APIs on the backend. You’ll also need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up on a variety of projects.
Working at a fast-pace, across a variety of projects & with an exceptional team of experienced engineers, this is a genuinely amazing opportunity to accelerate your career and develop your skills quickly!
What you’ll need
    \n
  • Commercial experience working full stack with TypeScript (Node.js & React), or potentially strong personal projects in the same technologies
  • \n
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment that can be ever-changing – if you’re currently working in a slow, large-scale organisation and it’s not for you, then this could be the change of pace that you are looking for
  • \n
  • Highly collaborative and enthusiastic about working on a hybrid-working basis alongside amazing colleagues a couple of days a week in Bristol!
  • \n
  • A strong user-focus; building products that focus on how they will impact the most important people – the users!!
  • \n
  • Strong desire to develop your skills further & learn across the full stack (including infrastructure & DevOps for example)
  • \n
  • The desire to work alongside other exceptional developers & work on intellectually challenging engineering problems
  • \n
  • A passion for environmentally-focussed products or developing clever solutions for society-wide issues
  • \n
  • The ability to work autonomously on projects (there will be support available from highly experienced engineers, but we are looking for someone who is happy to take on a challenge and throw themselves into projects with as much autonomy as possible!)
