This position is for a graduate trainee analyst from a numerical degree, who will assist their team of actuaries and brokers. This will involve handling large data sets and combining with industry metrics to build complex models to evaluate risk and factors that affect loss liabilities and capital.Location: London/ Hybrid workingCategory: Non-life ActuarialType: PermanentKey Responsibilities:Prepare data and consult with actuaries and brokersPopulate actuarial templates – experience and exposure models.Contribute to team meetings and overall team ethosDeliver actuarial work in a clear coherent and consistent way and adhere to peer review actuarial peer review and complianceEstablish and maintain relationships with colleagues, reinsurers, and clients to support new business development within reinsurance actuarial servicesAssist in project or client work through the utilization of any level team memberSit the Institute of Actuaries exams, although they will consider individuals who no longer wish to pursue the examsBachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related fieldSome exemptions to actuarial exams, although they will also consider individuals who no longer wish to pursue the examsTechnical experience of working in pricing, reserving or capital modellingCoding experience utilising Python, R, SQL, VBA or other comparable platforms
