(based in Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8 2YF)
• Salary: From £30,000 to £36,000 (DOE)

7:30-4:30 - Monday to Friday 40 hours/week
7:30-12noon -one Saturday morning per month.

Full UK Driving License is essential

At present, most of our customer are Greater London-based, but we have already begun the expansion process into other major UK cities such as Manchester and Bristol. The future is very promising!
Requirements:
As a result of our continued success, we are looking to strengthen our Procurement Team. The Junior Category Manager role involves placing orders with our varied supply base to meet our customer demand, whilst managing stock holding. Communication skills are essential in the role, both internally and externally to ensure our service level agreements are adhered to. Flexibility is also a key requirement for this role.
Tasks Include:
• Building & retaining good relationships with the current suppliers, including when communicating over phone and email.
• Keeping our customer service and sales department fully informed regarding product information.
• Reacting to any changes in customer and or market demand.
• Raising POs with selected suppliers and managing day to day communications between suppliers and Woods Foodservice for a high quality of service and supply.
• Stock management – ordering and keeping stock levels at desired levels, clearing slow selling stock, range management, no waste, minimal subs.
• Promotional sales growth through price reviews and analyses.
• Ensuring deliveries are booked in and arrive on time in an acceptable manner.
• Liaising with Finance to resolve any invoice queries.
• Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales.
• Maintenance of product data in our system.
• Sourcing and collecting any stock.
Required Attributes:
• Experience in stock replenishment/buying preferred.
• CIPS qualification or working towards a CIPS qualification highly desirable.
• Commercial mindset and procurement/ buying experience.
• Must hold a UK Driving License, no more than 6 points.
• Ability to identify market and supplier trends.
• Confident driving 3.5 tonne Vans.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good at building relationships and dealing with people at all levels.
• Effective decision maker.
• Driven, self-motivated, can work independently.
• Able to cope with the demands of a fast paced and ever-changing business.
• Effective team player, collaborates and communicates effectively.
• Good practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word and ERP Data systems.
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, numbers, analysis.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, whilst not sacrificing quality.
