Junior Quantity Surveyor/Buyer Position Available

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor/Buyer to join their dynamic and growing team. The role involves a combination of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of various projects, including residential buildings, commercial facilities, industrial plants, healthcare facilities, and stadia.

Responsibilities:

The selected individual will support the Commercial and Accounts Team by:

Assisting in the processing of Subcontractor Applications for Payment. This includes setting up Payment Notices for the Project Teams to review and issuing the approved Payment Notices and Payment Certificates. Ensuring all payment applications are traceable and Payment Notices are issued promptly as per contractual requirements to facilitate timely payments.

Supporting the processing and evaluation of Subcontract Supply Chain information.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Commercial Team and in close collaboration with the Project Team, providing assistance with project delivery as needed. This includes preparing subcontractor enquiries, gathering and assessing quotes, and drafting subcontract orders.

Attending financial and progress meetings with the Project Teams.

Managing the procurement of materials by coordinating with Project Teams, Suppliers, and the Accounts Team.

Job Summary:

Salary:

£24k - £27K, depending on experience
