Gutology is a fast growing D2C brand focused on microbiome friendly consumables and microbiome testing. There will also be opportunity for personal and professional growth as the company grows.What are we recruiting for?We’re looking for a graduate or self taught developer with a passion for automations & beautiful web experiences. You must enjoy the challenge of picking up new tools and sharing your knowledge with others. You’re comfortable finding solutions and reporting on the status of project tasks quickly and constructively. You’re pragmatic, and have a great ability to communicate recommendations to internal and external stakeholders .Start up life is different to contracting or agency work. We test & fail fast and you’ll be working across a myriad of technical challenges in the business. An enthusiasm for automations, ai and data is a must.What will you bring to the party?Familiarity with version control platforms (e.g., GitHub)Very good working knowledge of HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3, and browser capabilities. You write clean, self-documenting, semantic HTML.Should be able to write high-quality code with a sharp eye for spotting errors and converting designs exactly.To demonstrate you are a well-organised person who can manage your time and priorities, meeting deadlines.A team player and an excellent communicator, who will be able to both give and receive constructive feedback during internal project reviews.Have a 'roll up sleeves' attitude to support across a variety of projects.Ideal RequirementsExperience working for e-commerce companiesExperience with Shopify or Shopify PlusExperience with UX design to help drive user behaviourDegree in computer science (or similar). If you do not have a degree but are self-taught then please add 2-3 years to the below requirements.2+ years post uni experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.2+ years’ experience developing Shopify websites using Liquid.1+ years using automations on Shopify.Collaborative CoderWork closely with our CEO, content and operations team.Develop and manage Shopify apps and plugins for specific business needs.Taking a keen interest in quality of work via thorough testing of your own work, as well as getting involved in peer reviews and debugging issues collectively.Learning from senior colleagues and training opportunities, as well as assisting and supporting the team around you.Benefits:Company pensionEmployee discountFlexitimeFree parkingOn-site parkingHybrid workPay £25-£35K based on experience
