Jr Sous Chef Ideal Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior CDP and ready to take a step up
A passion for culinary arts and a proven track record in creating innovative menus and exceptional food
Leadership skills, ready to start helping with training a team of junior chefs
Thorough knowledge of current food safety and hygiene regulations
Jr Sous Chef Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge of ingredients and the ability to use them in a creative way
Belief in being a team player
Excellent time management skills
Ensure effective stock rotation of all products to avoid unnecessary waste.
Be able to run the pass at all service times successfully.
Develop and create new menus and dishes that are suitable for the operation
Good culinary knowledge of main categories of cooking
Interest and passion for the food industry
Creative and aware what trends are in the catering business
Excellent International culinary knowledge across various cuisine types
