Junior Tooling Engineer

Carbon60 are delighted to be working with a well known automotive parts manufacturer who are looking for a Junior Tooling Engineer to join the team.

Based on-site in Portchester this is a great opportunity to further your career as a Tooling Engineer in the cutting edge Automotive World and learn from some great people.

The Role:

• You will be working with tooling and design to gain an understanding of components, their feasibility and DFM processes.
• Create robust tool designs working with tooling engineers and suppliers and adhere to WE Tooling Standards.
• Ensure documentation is maintained and kept up to date on internal system.
• Assist with final tool sign off and present to cross functional team.
• Liaise with different areas within the business including tool-room, mould-shop and assembly.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Relevant apprenticeship/qualification in Engineering.
• Tool making or Mould Design qualification equivalent.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD and PLM Systems.
• Previous experience in a mould-shop or tooling would be an advantage.
