Job Title: Justice Key Worker



Salary: £26,049 - £31,790



Location: Portsmouth (Local community centres)





Job Purpose



The Justice Key Worker will manage a caseload of participants in custody and the community, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers, develop skills, and achieve sustainable employment. This role involves delivering high-quality guidance, coordinating pre-release and post-release support, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure successful resettlement.



Key Responsibilities



Participant Support & Case Management




  • Manage a caseload of participants with complex needs, delivering support, training, and employment guidance.

  • Conduct assessments and create tailored action plans to address individual barriers.

  • Provide ‘through the gate’ support, ensuring continuity of care from custody to community.

  • Maintain accurate records on case management systems (CATS+, P-Nomis).



Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination




  • Build and maintain relationships with prisons, community partners, and referral agencies.

  • Work with CFO Evolution staff to ensure smooth transition and support for participants.

  • Arrange pre-release meetings and facilitate support through Release on Temporary Licence (RoTL).

  • Assist in coordinating partner-led interventions and community support hubs.



Compliance & Administration




  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry to meet contract and compliance requirements.

  • Report participant progress, achievements, and risks to key stakeholders.

  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and maintain confidentiality.

  • Promote equal opportunities and inclusion in all aspects of work.



Person Specification



Essential




  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, ideally within the criminal justice system.

  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills to engage and support participants.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

  • IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, databases, case management systems).

  • Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent).

  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity.

  • Access to own transport and willingness to travel between locations.



Desirable




  • IAG Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience in education, training, or employment support.



Other Requirements




  • Enhanced DBS check and successful prison vetting required.
