Key Account Manager - Aerospace & Defense

IFS is looking for a proven, senior enterprise software business leader to support a group of named key accounts in the UK. You would be working as part of the IFS Global Aerospace & Defence team and part of the local UK Market Unit.Independently recognised as a leading, global supplier of enterprise software specifically designed for the A&D market, we provide solutions for:Aerospace and defense manufacturingCommercial aviationDefenseFleet and asset managementMilitary logisticsServices and performance-based logisticsThe position will give you the opportunity to lead new sales opportunities within and manage existing complex engagements within the client customer as well as developing relationships within the broader defence supply chain community. In this position you will be responsible generating revenue from license and maintenance sales, lead the execution of the sales cycle, sell directly to executive level decision-makers, and develop the territory by nurturing existing IFS business partnerships as well as new relationships.Prepare, update and own the Key Account StrategyOwn the end to end sales process from customer engagement, understating the customer needs, customer buying process to owning the RFI/RFP processOverall responsibility for customer satisfaction across IFS service deliveryCoordinate with Global Aerospace & Defence Team to build a strong internal collaboration network and secure appropriate support into region.QualificationsEssential skills/experience:Extensive experience selling complex business softwareProven track record in complex sales at C-level with clients >1B revenueDemonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative and competitive marketSales experience in defence or government sectorStrong knowledge of Aerospace & Defense IndustryStrong oral and written business presentation skillsFluent EnglishPreferred skills/experience:5+ years Enterprise software sales experience preferably in a related industryEngineering Degree and or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering experience Additional InformationIndependently recognised as a leading, global supplier of enterprise software specifically designed for the A&D market, we provide solutions for:Aerospace and defense manufacturingCommercial aviationDefenseFleet and asset managementMilitary logisticsServices and performance-based logisticsThe position will give you the opportunity to direct new sales opportunities within and manage existing complex engagements within the client customer as well as developing relationships within the broader Indian defence supply chain community.
