About the Role: My client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Lighting Sales and Design Specialist to join their team. Your primary focus will be to promote and sell their lighting products, create demand for these products among end-users, developers, builders, consultants, and electrical contractors, and help grow existing relationships. This role combines technical expertise in lighting design with a strong sales acumen to deliver exceptional service and solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Promote the purchase of lighting products and services, creating demand among target customer groups.


  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships, leveraging lighting expertise to understand and meet their requirements.


  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of allocated accounts, providing tailored support and solutions.


  • Conduct site visits as needed, including trial installations, site surveys, and overseeing lighting designs.


  • Prepare and deliver accurate lighting designs using Relux or Dialux software.


  • Problem-solve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to meet client needs.


  • Manage projects from conception to conclusion, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.


  • Travel throughout the UK as required to meet client and project needs.


  • Adhere to the company's Quality Control, ISO procedures, and Health and Safety policies.


Reporting To: Managing Director

Requirements:



  • Proven experience in lighting design, preferably within the targeted market sectors.


  • Proficiency in Relux or Dialux software.


  • Strong understanding of lighting schemes and controls.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Strong negotiation, listening, and presentation skills.


  • Ability to manage projects and deliver results independently.


  • Sales experience with the ability to build relationships at all levels.


  • Self-motivated, with a flexible approach to work and a positive attitude.


  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.


  • Smart appearance and professional demeanor.


  • Full UK driving licence.
