Part-Time Booster Teacher Year 5/6 Boosters

Location: Chesterfield
Start Date: January 2025
Contract Duration: Fixed term until July 2024
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, 2 days per week (flexible)
Salary: Main pay scale

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our moderately sized, two-form entry primary school in Chesterfield. This part-time role will focus on delivering booster sessions for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in English and maths, with occasional classroom support as needed. The position is ideal for those with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience working with upper Key Stage 2 (KS2) students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group interventions to support pupils in achieving key learning objectives in English and maths.
  • Provide targeted assistance that helps close learning gaps and boosts student confidence.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
  • Occasionally assist in-class as required, contributing to a supportive and effective learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with upper KS2 pupils.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to tailor instruction to meet the needs of various learners.

Flexibility Offered:
