Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join a team in a care home environment. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in food preparation and ensure a smooth operation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly under the guidance of the chef

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area

- Support with basic cooking tasks as required

- Help in receiving and storing deliveries

- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements

- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous

- Basic culinary skills are desirable

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Strong willingness to learn and assist in various kitchen tasks

ASAP Start, full month of work from March through to April

Job Types: Full-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: �11.50-�14.00 per hour depending on shift �11.5 weekdays - upto �14 on weekends

Schedule:

• Day shift


• 7am till 530pm or 9 till 730pm

Experience:

• Catering: 1 year (required)


• Kitchen experience: 1 year (required)
