Premier Work Support are proud to be recruiting a temporary Kitchen Porter for a prestigious educational establishment based in Chertsey - KT16 postcode.

Our client requires easy going, adaptable & versatile kitchen porters to join their team. Their kitchen porters are not just behind the scenes - they're skilled contributors and they're ready to jump in and lend a hand when the kitchen heats up.

Our client believes in a small, focused team of like minded individuals, they're after seasoned pros who bring experience and maturity to the table & with lots of fun on the way.

The restaurant will be open lunch & dinner, Monday to Friday only, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

About the job

You will be taking responsibility for the storage & stock rotation of all food & disposable stock items.
Deep cleaning of the kitchen will happen on one day of the weekend when the restaurant is closed. All other kitchen upkeep & cleaning duties will be shared between all team members in the kitchen.
Some food preparation duties will be part of your day-to-day duties, bringing variety & enjoyment to your work.
Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers
Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items
