We are currently recruiting for a kitchen porter to work full time within a large educational institution in Leeds city centre. The role of kitchen porter presents a fantastic opportunity for a well-organised candidate.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will assist our team of chefs in keeping the kitchen spotless. We are looking for people who enjoy working in teams and are dedicated.

Main duties:

• Cleaning heavy duty kitchen equipment including ovens and fryers


• Clearing tables in the catering seating area


• Cleaning crockery and cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and ready


• Ensuring the organisational Food Safety Policy, Personal Hygiene Policy, Health & Safety Policy and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations are adhered to at all times.


• Operating the dishwasher and ensuring it is working correctly


• Checking all items are clean and emptied after washing, and storage items in the appropriate area

The ideal candidate will have previously worked both independently and as part of a team, and may have experience within the catering industry.
