Knitwear Garment Technologist

As Pretty Lavish grows, we are looking for a passionate, hard working and humble individual to join us on this exciting journey in this role. This is a perm role, it can be full or part time and reports into our Senior Garment Technologist.Roles and Responsibilities:Fitting knitwear and leading fit sessionsCommunicating fit comments to suppliers and approving grading to productionDeveloping proto specsSupporting design team with fabric sourcing, building a library of fabricsReviewing base and bulk tests and communicating with suppliersCare Label approvalsDealing with fit and measurement queries from suppliersProblem solving and working on ensuring garments / trimmings are fit for purpose and within ethical requirementsIdentifying and solving production issuesQualification, skills and experience:Experience and knowledge working across knitwear, ideally womens and menswearExperience in garment fit, construction, and fabrics, with a strong track record of delivering quality productsExtensive knowledge of pattern making and grading, manufacturing processes, and quality control proceduresAbility to analyse technical problems and come up with solutionsTeam working and excellent communication skillsIn return, you'll receive some 'Pretty Positive' perksIdyllic Countryside Head Office – in the leafy village of Widford, HertfordshireHybrid Working and Flexi HoursEarly Finish Friday on last Friday of every monthGenerous Staff Discount – 50% for you, 20% for your friends and family25 Days Holiday + Birthday Day – your birthday off every year after one year serviceStart-up Culture – the chance to make a real impact to a fast-growing company
