Year 1/2 Primary Teacher

Doncaster (DN5 Area)

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive and dynamic school? Career Teachers are recruiting for a Year 1/2 Primary Teacher to join a school in the DN5 area of Doncaster. This full-time position starts on 24th February 2025 and runs until October half-term, with the potential to become a permanent role.

Salary: £120 - £180 per day for the first 12 weeks, moving to scale from week 13 (subject to AWR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for children in Year 1/2.
  • Effectively implement Little Wandle Phonics and White Rose Maths schemes.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the well-being and progress of all pupils.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1).
  • Strong understanding of Little Wandle Phonics and White Rose Maths.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting every child's learning journey.
  • Ability to adapt and differentiate to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
