Location: Birmingham, Smethwick

Start Date: Start asap, until July.

\n

Salary: £88.92-£105.89

\n

\n

Monarch Education are looking for a dedicated and qualified Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Smethwick. This role is Full-time (Mon-Fri), term time only. The position is to start immediately and will run until the end of the academic year, supporting the class Teacher with the daily delivery of the curriculum.

Requirements:

    \n
  • \nMust have a level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • \n
  • Previous experience with Primary aged children.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of the year 1 curriculum and classroom routines.
  • \n
  • A positive and proactive attitude to supporting children's learning.
  • \n
\n

Key responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Support students with their phonics, reading, writing and numeracy skills.
  • \n
  • Provide one to one and small group support for Year 1 students.
  • \n
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • \n
  • Monitor student progress and report back to the class teacher.
  • \n
  • Help maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • \n
